About the ICS Continence Promotion Committee
CPC August 2010 Meeting Toronto
The Continence Promotion Committee's (CPC) mission is to raise public awareness of bladder and bowel health issues, in order to improve the lives of people suffering from incontinence around the world. The CPC’s international and multidisciplinary representation identifies broad issues affecting patients and professionals globally.
The CPC's goals are to promote education and public awareness of incontinence throughout the world, and to facilitate communication, exchange of information and partnerships between continence organizations, healthcare professionals, governments and industry.
The CPC promotes awareness through Partner Organisations and provides a platform to help the formation of community and patient-based organizations worldwide.
The CPC's activities include:
- Workshops at the ICS Annual Meeting
- Public Forum held during the ICS Annual Meeting
- World Continence Week - a worldwide initiative to promote continence activities globally
- Continence Promotion - networking with continence organisations to provide educational resources, guidance and best practice
